Brittany Schmidt
Brittany Schmidt is a partner at Cauthorn Sanders & Schmidt focusing on estate planning and probate litigation for clients throughout metro Atlanta, including Cobb, Fulton, and Cherokee counties. Her estate planning practice serves clients at every wealth level, with particular depth in high-net-worth and complex estate planning. Brittany also represents clients in personal injury and commercial litigation matters.
Brittany’s dual focus on Georgia estate planning and probate litigation gives her clients a distinct advantage. Having litigated disputes over wills, trusts, and estates, she has seen firsthand where estate plans break down and families end up in court. That experience directly informs how she plans for her clients, identifying potential points of conflict before they arise and drafting wills, trusts, and estate plans designed to hold up long after she’s done her job.
Brittany was born and raised in Cincinnati, Ohio. She received her Bachelor of Science degree from the University of North Georgia in Dahlonega, where she was a member of the NCAA Women’s Soccer Program and Phi Mu Sorority. She attended Mercer University’s Walter F. George School of Law in Macon, Georgia and gained early experience working for the Fulton County Office of the Solicitor General and the Georgia Municipal Association.
Brittany serves as a member of the University of North Georgia Alumni Association, the Atlanta Bar Association’s SideBar Ambassador program, and is a Board Member for the General Practice and Trial Section of the State Bar of Georgia.
Brittany lives in Marietta and enjoys traveling and spending time with family and friends.
